I recommend going to see a chiropractor. They work wonders! Much better than physical therapy, in my opinion b/c the results are more immediate (you’ll be in physical therapy a long time before you see results!).

The chiropractor I go to is a prenatal/postnatal chiropractor and pretty much all his clients are pregnant women so he really knows his stuff! If you’re in the L.A. area I highly recommend him!

I had this problem when I was pregnant with my twins. After they were born I ignored it for two years. I finally got to the point where I was in constant pain. I was referred to a physical therapist. I just completed 6 weeks of therapy. It worked wonders. Although I have noticed that I still get pain when I do too much or don’t do my stretches at home. The therapy involved strengthening exercises, stretching, and massage. Good luck!

I had same problem during my pregnancy. My doctor referred me to a physiotherapist while I was still pregnant and it really helped. I had several sessions to loosen & work the painful area and learned exercises to help stretch and strengthen the muscles in that area. I have also heard of women having post-partum inflammation in the joints.

You should really see your doctor as it doesn’t appear to be going away on it’s own. You can’t let it go on as it’s affecting your life and you want to be in the best shape to take care of your son. Your doctor will be able to diagnose the issue and offer suggestions or refer you to physio or somewhere to solve the problem.
