A lot of times they say that pain like that is a result of your body changing. A pain in that area is most likely caused by your hips widening in preparation for labor months later.

Your hips are starting to seperate and since there is more pressure and weight on you body, you will have some pain/discomfort.

i am on my 2nd pregnancy too! and around the same as you i had sharp pains in my lower stomach…i went to the doctor and they said it was probally because i had a c-section the first time and it was nothing to worry about…just talk to your doctor, they’ll tell you what to do

it is the ligaments in your hips streching i had the same problem throughout my whole pregnancy it was horrible i would have to sit down where ever i was and rest until it went away it is perfectly normal but if it still worries you then you should ask your doctor about it but i really do not think that it is anything to worry about

I have never been pregnant..but my best friend had this problem the doctor put her on bed rest because the baby was in an awkward position…when you see the doctor just tell him everything..I hope everything works out!

I had those too. It is from the pressure of the weight of the baby pushing on your nerves. After the pregnancy it will go away. I don’t think there is anything you can do for it though. Ask your Dr. at the next check-up.

I had the same thing, it could be a number of things, the sciatica nerve(spelling) or you could have pulled a muscle in your growing, but if you are going to the Dr he should be able to help
Good luck

I would absolutely bring it up to the doctor, but I read in “What to expect when expecting” (I myself am 6 weeks pregnant) that pains like that can be ligaments that hold the uterus stretching.

Tell your doctor everything and let the doctor know you are alarmed. Since you’re taking care of two children while being pregnant it could be exhaustion and your baby is saying, “take a break Mommy I’m tired too,” Hopefully that’s all that’s going on. Your doctor can tell you if there is anything else that needs to be evaluated. But the mother always knows best trust your instincts.
