HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE pelvic joint pain (I think I asked a few questions here about it). I only had it during my 2nd pregnancy. They weren’t able to help me or give me anything to ease it so I don’t think I would rush in before the 1st.
Here’s one:

ETA: No, I was put on bed rest for the risk of preterm labor (same as 1st pregnancy)

Yes, that sound like it might be SPD. You might find it’s hard to put on trousers, underwear etc. Basically any position where you part your legs (lol!) will hurt you. The only things that might help are resting as much as possible, making sure to keep your legs closed when getting in and out of cars, bed etc and putting a pillow between your legs when in bed.

A doctor might want you to go to a physiotherapist, or they might give you a big support belt to wear. Unfortunately for some people it gets so bad they need to be on crutches. Unless you feel it’s getting too hard to cope with there’s no real danger in waiting til Dec. to see your doctor. I had this for about half my pregnancy and the only help I was given was what i’ve told you, because thankfully it wasn’t too severe.

when your pelvis separates for the baby to come out it can cause nerves to get pinched. I’ve tried everything. it hurts os incredibly bad and there really is nothing you can do about it except for hold out til the baby comes. usually everything will go back to normal with no problem but sometimes you will need some physical therapy to get those pinched nerves unpinched. as far as making your appointment come earlier. it won’t do you much good because you can’t really do anything about it except for take baths and tylenol (neither really work very well). Another thing my doctor suggested was wearing a maternity support belt or a maternity girdle. the belt did nothing and the girdle helped a little bit but was a little uncomfortable. I felt like I was wearing grandma’s undies.

I have the pain also. I’m 34 weeks pregnant, and it feels like you have a pulled muscle- but very intense. I went to my doctor and he told me it was normal that it was probably just growing pains from the ligaments being stretched. Also, I only have the pain on the right side and it affects my back. There’s really not much you can do except rest. It hurts most wile sitting so try to lay down on your side as much as possible. I have my husband put a pillow onder me and I rest my belly on it and keep a pillow between my legs. That definitely helps! Good luck and congrats!

No, you dont have SPD.
It is absolute agony, toture when you have this. A friend of mine had it and she literally coudlnt walk more than a few steps. She had to sleep on the couch because she was incapable of walking up stairs.
What you have sounds very normal. I am 32 weeks pregnant at the moment and am experiencing the same sort of thing. The best thing you can do it adjust how you sleep. the best thing i have found is to sleep with a slim pillow between my legs and to sleep with just one pillow under my head so that my shoulders support most of the weight as opposed to my hips.
P.S. there was nothing they could do to ease my friend’s pain except paracetamol so i wouldnt bother going before the 1st.

no you shouldnt go on bed rest unless u have serious pre term labor. the hip pain is normal for some women. i have them…it goes and comes. from what i understand its from all the side sleeping and my joints is loosening up for labor so it feel kinda stiff sometimes and hurts. just another part of being pregnant.

Go and get some tight bike shorts & a baby belt for your belly.

It will ease the pressure on you pelvic area. I suffered from symphysis pubis dysfunction twice and had no choice but to continue on. It hurts to the point, I’d be in tears.

I had terrible pelvic pain for the last half of my pregnancy. Your doctor cannot do anything for it. I had my husband massage whenever possible and also laid down a lot when at home. I still continued to go to work up until 2 days before giving birth no problem. Toward the end the pelvic pain got better but I did have a whole other new nerve pain - gotta love pregnancy! You’ll be fine, no need to go to the doctor - it doesn’t affect the baby at all.

In bed make sure you are using a pillow between your legs and roll over very slowly. Also take care when getting dressed and sit down to do so.
